How to Enable Free Let’s Encrypt SSL in cPanel

Table of Contents

This guide explains how to enable the free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate included with all KDigital Hosting plans, using the cPanel control panel.

Every hosting plan with KDigital Hosting includes a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate, ensuring your website is automatically secured with HTTPS encryption. Let’s Encrypt SSL provides essential website protection, improves search engine rankings, and reassures visitors that their data is safe.

Unlike premium SSL certificates that require manual validation, Let’s Encrypt SSL is automatically issued and renewed at no cost. Activation takes only a few clicks inside your hosting account’s cPanel.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Client Portal
Go to the KDigital Hosting Client Portal and open the hosting plan you want to manage.
  2. Access cPanel
From your Hosting Dashboard, click Login to cPanel.
  3. Find the SSL/TLS Status Tool
Inside cPanel, scroll down to the Security section and select SSL/TLS Status.
  4. Enable Let’s Encrypt SSL
    • Locate your domain name(s) in the list.
    • Check the box next to your domain and click Run AutoSSL.
    • The system will automatically issue and install a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate.
  5. Verify SSL Installation
After a few minutes, visit your website using https://yourdomain.com and confirm the browser shows the secure padlock icon.
  6. Force HTTPS Redirect (Recommended)
In cPanel, open the Domains section. For your domain, toggle the option Force HTTPS Redirect to ensure all traffic is securely redirected.
